BudgetBites

Welcome to BudgetBites

You save the video. We turn it into a shopping list with a price on it — and make sure it fits the money you actually have this week.

What makes it different

Most recipe apps assume a full pantry and an open wallet. BudgetBites starts from the opposite place: a saved TikTok, a real budget, and a grocery store near you. It costs each ingredient twice — the portion the recipe uses and the whole bottle you'd have to buy — so nothing surprises you at checkout. Then it plans the week, tells you when you're under budget, and suggests the meals that would use the rest well.

Budgeting that speaks grocery

Every recipe is priced two ways — the portion you actually use and the full package you'd buy at the store. Set a weekly or monthly budget, add your state, and the numbers move to local prices instead of a national guess.

Travel on your plate

Snap the dish you're eating abroad and BudgetBites identifies it, then reverse-engineers a home-cook version with ingredients you can find in a US grocery store — substitutions included.

Mocktail Mamis

A curated drinks collection with its own colour, filters for nighttime, digestion, low calorie, fruity and creamy — and automatic pairing so every dinner can end with something that feels like a treat.

A kitchen with people in it

A Pinterest-style community feed where people post what they recreated, plus a chat that can search the web and hand you a full costed recipe when you say “high protein pescatarian, please”.

The short version

  1. 1. Save a recipe from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, a photo, or a dish you ate on a trip.
  2. 2. Set your budget and your state so the prices are yours, not an average.
  3. 3. Drop meals onto the calendar and watch the running total.
  4. 4. Under budget? Take a suggestion. Over? Swap in a cheaper favourite.
